After three years, two complete rewrites, and more cups of tea than I care to count, the manuscript is finished.
I handed it to my editor last Tuesday morning. Then I went home, made breakfast, and sat at my desk not knowing what to do with myself. There is a particular silence that follows the end of a long project — not emptiness exactly, but a kind of ringing, like the aftermath of a struck bell.
The book is called The Hollow Between Stars. It is the strangest thing I have ever written, and in some ways the most honest. I'll share more details soon, including a cover reveal and the official publication date. For now, I'm simply grateful to have arrived here.
